Today's savings

December 6th, 2011 at 08:31 pm

It has been over three months since I have been here.

I'm going 2 start my $20 challenge now and carry it til summertime. Hopefully it will pay for most of our vacation.

I saved $20 on a prescription for my son using a coupon I found in a magizine. I was deducted from my copay leaving me paying only $10.00 for 100 glucose strips. Yay!

I saved $25.75 at WM with price-matching and coupons, and $9.25 at CVS with coupons and ECB's.

I feel as if money is slipping through my fingers lately so hopefully logging my savings will help keep me more accountable.

Challenge total including the $20 to start with is $75.00. Not too bad for one day....

I've been noticing people talking about these challenges and I don't really know what they are? Can you guys fill me in? It sounds like something I might be interested in but I'm not sure what it is exactly. TIA and good luck!

You start the challenge with $20 and add to it whenever you can. I put my coupon savings, rebates, any money earned on the side, etc. into my acct. We plan to use this money for a well needed vacation this summer.

Some people add to their challenge if they excercise or their team wins a game. It's really whatever you want to do.

I also put "found" money in it. Like starting Jan. 1 I am getting rid of my trash service and am "going green" and will recycle everything. I am going to add the $32.00 each month in to the $20 challenge that I will save by not paying for trash service. I think you can kinda make your own ruses for your own $20 challenge!! LOL

AHHH. I figured it was something like that. I've seen a $20K challenge and figured that folks were trying to reach $20K but I couldn't figure out the $20 challenge. I think I'll start my own, too! Thanks Smile
